Friday, August 14th
A limited number of attendees will have the choice to attend a workshop from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Information about this workshop will be posted here soon.
The first keynote speaker will kick off the conference at 6 p.m.
The awards ceremony for the lightning talks and film festival will be held in the evening, at 7 p.m. We will watch the winning videos of the 3-min lightning talks, which are on a STEM topic to a non-scientific audience, followed by the winners of the film festival showcasing micro-length films (<10 mins), aimed at communicating a science story.
Saturday, August 15th
Saturday will open with a keynote address by Andrew Revkin at 10 a.m. The keynote lecture will be followed by concurrent sessions for the rest of the morning. Featured speakers for these talks can be found here.
Events for the evening include another keynote speaker, followed by presentations of the performing arts and a virtual SciComm Bingo networking activity.
Sunday, August 16th
The last day of the conference will start with a keynote address by Dr. Chris Volpe.
The keynote lecture will be followed by concurrent sessions for the rest of the morning. Featured speakers for these talks can be found here.
Closing remarks will begin around 1:10 p.m., with the conference concluding by 1:30 p.m.
